The above title is a quote (and link) from a lengthy article in one of my education magazines. I know it may not seem incredibly interesting, but this article directly relates to you PLUS it mentions what we talked about today: if it ain't on the FCAT, the chances of it being thoroughly covered in school are slim.
So what do you think about eighth-grade? Too much pressure? Enough knowledge? Are you really college ready?
No grade for this--just wanted to share and hear your thoughts!
PS: Great job following directions for current events!

Honestly, I dont think that I am ready for colledge. The Teachers go by a ciriculem that sticks to the Fcat. The problem is that they breeze by what we are actually supossed to learn.
Well, I'm not sure either about college becasue I dont know if I could handle all of that work.
I don't think I'm college ready at all especially since we are not learning things that aren't covered on the FCAT which we should be learning. We are not learning things we should know and it just piles more pressure onto us than we need. By the way, did you know that former Governor Bush took the FCAT and failed it. Twice! Now why does that not seem ironic to me?
I'm don't think that this is how it should be. When you're fourteen or thirteen, you don't know what you want to do. How can you make a decision like that eight years before you're supposed to graduate from a 4-year college?
