The Grinch that "almost" stole Christmas

After thieves ran off with a trailer full of donated toys, the Christmas spirit is still alive and well in the state of Florida. Although all the toys were stolen, an exceeding amount of local residents called a Firefighters Union asking how they could help. The donations came in on Tuesday from people stating that they were furious that someone could steal toys from innocent cancer patients. One lady that was extremely upset donated $5,000 to the charity. Broward County's Sheriff's Department charity fund also gave in $5,000. After all of that, a man came and donated another $5,000. By the end of the day, the money donations were an unexpected amount of at least $60,000. Due to the abundance of toys and money donated, there was more than enough to go around. The party for cancer children had extra toys which were donated to other charities in that area. Despite the fact that there are some evil people in this world, the majority of people are good, generous, and kind.

1 - How do you think the cancer patients felt about cruel people stealing their gifts? =(

2 - How do you think they feel today after the generosity shown by their neighbors? =)

I think that I heard about this on the news it was a horrible thing that those criminals did, I hope they were cuaght.
1.) I think the cancer patients felt sad and helpless that thier christmas or if they celebrate something else, was ruined by selfish people and they couldnt due a thing about it. They probaly felt low because people would take advantage of them and steel that much from them.
2.) They probaly are overwehlemed because of all the toys and all the money that was donated for them. They are also probaly very happy that some people do care about them and help to make thier wishes and dreams come true.

I thought this story was very touching, to see that the cancer kids did get presents for christmas.
1.I think the cancer kids felt terrible after their gifts were stolen. I wouldnt want people stealing my gifts.
2. THe cancer kids must feel very special to know that their neigbors are generous enough to buy them gifts.

I felt the story was kind-hearted because the town was very generous and made the kids with cancer happy just in time for the holidays.
1. I think that the cancer patients felt horrible about cruel people stealing their gifts.
2. I think the cancer kids must feel good today because they know they are actually getting gifts for the holidays and that many people do care about them.

This was a good article however it is so cruel for someone to steal gifts from innocent cancer patients I can't beleive someone would do that.
1.I think the cancer patients would have felt sad, dissapointed and let down that they wouldn't get toys. They also probably wanted whoever did it to be caught and punished for it.
2.The cancer Patients were probably suprised and joyful that people would all donate money just for them.

2.I think they felt very delighted and excited to get thier present , but even more happy to know how much others care for them to raise money for them. :)

This was an interesting article but who would do something like that thats soo cruel.

1. I think they feel really sad that someone has to steal their toys, and knowing that there are that cruel of people on this world probably makes them more upset.

2. Now that the people donated all this money I think they gained hope back because it shows that there are lots of people who do care about them and show them there not just nobbodys but there " SOMEBODY"

1. I think the patients would be very sad that selfish people stole their gifts because they would have recieved alot of toys this christmas and the robbers took thay joy away from them. If I were them, i would feel the same way.
2. I think the patients would see how much people cared for them after they saw how generous their neighbors are and would be exited for the fact that now they will have presants for christmas and as the article stated, they had much more than they had before.

I agree with Pmp I hope that they catch these thevieves and put them in jail forever.
1) I think that the cancer patients felt upset because someone would steal from them after they already have such troubles to face.
2)They were Probly so happy that out of the bad things that happened something good came out of it.

1. Well first of all, what kind of sick person steals toys from people with cancer?! I mean, some of these children are going to lose their lives, and some selfish person[s] won't even let them have a memorable christmas. I'm sure the patients were also shocked and dissapointed that someone would steal from charity.

2. With the abundance of donations the cancer patients will now recieve, I bet they feel extraordinarily grateful because they know so many people care about them and want them to have a great holiday.

1. I think that the patients were feeling deprived and probably mad...I know I would be.

2. They are probably very happy that they eventually recieved gifts, even if they had to be subjected to crimes by the Thieves.

First of all, I think it is very disrespectful that selfish people take away things from other needed people.
1) I think the patients might have felt dissapointed and sad.
2)The patients are probably very happy now that they know they'll have a christmas.
